BCS Preliminary Exam — Mark Distribution, Negative Marking and Preparation

The preliminary is a 200-mark MCQ screening exam, usually 2 hours long. Its marks are not added to the final result — it only screens candidates for the written exam.

What You Need to Know

  • Marks are deducted for wrong answers — reduce guesswork
  • BPSC sets the cut mark separately each time
  • Check your center and seat on the admit card and arrange your travel in advance
