Bangladeshi passport holders usually need a sticker visa for Turkey, applied for through the embassy or its authorised visa centre. Those holding a valid US, UK or Schengen visa or residence permit may qualify for a conditional online e-visa. Dhaka to Istanbul is about 8 hours non-stop. A 7-day Istanbul and Cappadocia trip is the most popular plan.

Turkey tourist visa for Bangladeshis

The usual route is a sticker visa through Türkiye's embassy in Dhaka or its designated visa centre. The document list is like other tourist visas, with close attention to funds and proof that you will return.

Holders of a valid US, UK, Ireland or Schengen visa or residence permit may get Türkiye's online e-visa under specific conditions (such as flying with certain airlines, a hotel booking and sufficient funds). These conditions change — check the official e-visa site before applying.

Turkey tour cost from Bangladesh

  • Airfare: there are direct Dhaka–Istanbul flights; connections via the Gulf are sometimes cheaper
  • Hotels: staying in Sultanahmet puts most of the old city within walking distance
  • Cappadocia: just over an hour by domestic flight from Istanbul; "cave hotels" are popular
  • Balloon ride: the biggest single cost in Cappadocia, varying a lot by season
  • Food: halal is not a concern; kebabs, pide and Turkish breakfast are affordable

Istanbul Cappadocia tour package

A typical package covers 3–4 nights in Istanbul, 2 nights in Cappadocia, the domestic flight, a Bosphorus cruise and Cappadocia's Red/Green tours. The balloon ride is often "optional" at extra cost. Check whether museum entry tickets are included — Istanbul's main museums are expensive.

Sample 7-day Turkey itinerary

  • Day 1: arrive in Istanbul, Galata Bridge in the evening
  • Day 2: Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque, Topkapi Palace, Grand Bazaar
  • Day 3: Bosphorus cruise, Dolmabahçe Palace, Taksim
  • Day 4: fly to Cappadocia — Göreme in the afternoon
  • Day 5: sunrise balloon ride, Red Tour
  • Day 6: Green Tour (underground city and valleys), evening back to Istanbul
  • Day 7: fly home

Visa and best season

April–May and September–October have the most comfortable weather. Summer (June–August) is hot and crowded. Winter is cold and wet in Istanbul, with snow in Cappadocia — beautiful, but balloon cancellations are more likely.

FAQ

Can Bangladeshis get a Turkey e-visa?

Generally no — a sticker visa through the embassy or visa centre is needed. With a valid US, UK, Ireland or Schengen visa or residence permit, a conditional e-visa may be possible.

Is the Cappadocia balloon ride included in packages?

Usually it's optional and priced separately. Ask about refunds or a next-day slot if the flight is cancelled for weather.
